Spring is coming

Winter has been kind to us. No sickness, no accidents, fairly good weather and a pretty easy schedule! However--Spring is on the horizon and I say BRING IT ON!!!
Some catch up news to bring us up to date is as follows:
Dillon Boss is now a full fledged legal driver!! He is actually a really good driver! He got his license last Wednesday and on Thursday he drove down to BYU for his bass lesson!! Meanwhile, I sat at home, enjoying the fact that I didn't have to drive him down there!! My new found freedom is wonderful!
We have exciting news from Braden and Jen! Yes, Jen is PREGNANT!!! I felt the stork hovering over, but I thought that maybe Jenell or Brittney were going to be producing, but Braden and Jen announced to us a few weeks ago that it was them!!! We are overly excited. That will make 5 grandkids!!!
Tim and I tried something I've been wanting to try since we moved to Utah--Cross Country Skiing! I didn't like it at all. But, hey, we tried it.
Tim went cross country skiing with the scouts last friday night. He too decided that he'd rather ski then cross country ski!
Dillon has been on ski bus this winter with the last one being last Saturday. He says he probably won't do it anymore, he needs to put all his time and money into his music.
I have done my fair share of substitute teaching this winter. I have taught everything from 1st grade to Highschool. I generally really like it, but there are those days that I don't like it at all. Junior HIgh is the absolute worst.
We are doing a fun thing on Monday nights. We (me, Tim, Dill) go down to Braden and Jen's for dinner and watch :24:. It's a fun event.
My parents are a little closer to realizing their nightmare of living in Utah. Hey it's what you make it right!! They should be here sometime this spring. Their house is beautiful and my dad is already planning on landscaping as soon as he gets here.

Just like Chuck-a-Rama, there are so many wonderful things to share with you! So, without any more hesitation, grab a plate and get ready for a delicious buffet of Boss Family happenings.

The year started off with me (DeLanea) finally graduating from BYU. It only took 10 years, but in keeping with the BYU mission statement, I have learned enough and I think I'm finally ready to go forth and serve. It was a great day - possibly one of the greatest - I have ever had. All the family was there and, even though I didn't think they could pull it off, they threw me a surprise party. I was definitely surprised. Then I went to Hawaii. It was a celebration of both my graduation and my turning 50 years old. It was my first time and, of course, it was a lot of fun.

Tim's new toy is a "Fun Finder Travel Trailer". We went camping a ton this summer. It was also Tim's first time ever taking two full weeks to go to our favorite vacation spot, Wallowa Lake. As you can see, we're trying as hard as possible to ease into a life of liesure. Tim continues to work hard and is managing to stay busy during a slower-than-usual economy.

Braden finally got married. It was the perfect occiasion. We had a Hawaiian Lu'au the night before with all the family in our backyard. The next day saw the wedding at the Salt Lake Temple and a perfect reception in a greenhouse. it couldn't have been a better day and we're so happy to have Jen now in our family. Braden is very lucky to have found a girl like her. Braden also starts his last semester of college at BYU. He will end up teaching film and has already had success in finding a possible job at a new high school nearby.

Dill has had a very busy year. He is currently on the American Fork Pride of American Fork Utah Marching Caveman Marching Band. At least that's what he calls it. They are Western Regional Champions (anything from Utah west) and took 12th at the national competition in Indianapolis. He enjoys music like no other. He plays the bass (upright and guitar) every free minute. When he gets his license in February, the only thing he'll need is a car big enough to hall all of his stuff around.

We had a great trip with the girls to New York City. I LOVE New York. We ate cheesecake every day, saw the sites, shopped like crazy, and saw Wicked, which was amazing. Again, let me make it clear that we LOVE that city!

The girls are producing fabulous grandchildren. They are like the dessert of our family buffet. Jenell's kids are Jerik and Jackson. Jerik is 7 and Jackson is 2. Georgia who is 1 and Gibson who is 4 are Brittney's kids.
